How Church Evites work...
Sender clicks e-card link on your website
Your members visit
your branded e-card
site by using a link on your current website. The e-card site matches the color and style of your current website.
Sender picks an e-card or
e-vite to send
The sender chooses a card (Thank You's, Birthdays,
Anniversaries, Holidays and) or your custom image for sermon series or special events. They add their personal message and enter the recipient’s email address.
Recipients receive an email with a link to view e-card
The card recipients will receive an email informing them they have an e-card or e-vite from the sender.
Recipient visits your branded e-card page to view
They click on the link that leads them to your e-card site to view the card. Each e-card also contains an invitation to your church with links to other pages on your website. This is an ideal way to drive new people to your website!
A Shocking Statistic
Thom S. Rainer president and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources recently conducted a two-year survey of the unchurched. Some surprising facts were uncovered...
Ninety-six percent of the unchurched are at least somewhat likely to attend church if they are invited. More than nine out of 10 of the unchurched said they would come to church if they were invited. Church Evites are one of the easiest ways to get your members inviting their friends, neighbors, co-workers and relatives. With Church Evites, they can send standard cards for birthdays, etc., but also special evites for sermon series and events.
"We estimate that 160 million people in the United States are unchurched if we define unchurched as attending church two or less times in a year. If our research is close to accurate, the implications are staggering, Over 153 million people would start attending church if they were invited!," Rainer says.
What constitutes an invitation? For many of the unchurched, it was a simple invitation to come to one's church. For others, it was an invitation that included an offer to meet someone at church to show them around or walk them in the building. In either case, the process was pretty basic. If we invite them, they will come.
